Treaties Week
Treaties Week - November 1-7, 2021
Our school is marking Treaties Recognition Week this week (November 1-7, 2021) by teaching students the importance of treaties, as well as treaty rights and obligations, to help create greater understanding and nurture relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. A variety of resources have been provided to staff to lead age-appropriate lessons and discussions about treaty rights, treaty relationships and their relevance today.

National School Bus Safety Week - October 18-22, 2021
School bus transportation plays a critical role in the education of our students, and is the direct link between home and the classroom. This week is National School Bus Safety Week, which serves as a reminder for students, parents/guardians, teachers, and the community to keep school bus safety in the forefront. Across the district are learning all about school bus safety, including how to evacuate the bus in case of an emergency.

National Day of Truth and Reconciliation
September 30, 2021 was Canada’s first National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, a day honoring First Nation, Métis, and Inuit Residential School Survivors. It was also a day of Remembrance, for those children and youth who did not make it home.
