Absences and Late Arrivals
In the interest of student safety and effective programming, it is important that all student absences are accounted for in all schools of the Rainy River District School Board.
Parents/Guardians are asked to please call the school each time a student is going to be late or absent. Where students are aged 18 or older, they are asked to inform the school of any absences. All students arriving late to class are asked to please sign in at the main office before attending class to ensure that their attendance is captured.
If the school has not been notified that the student will be late or absent from school, the parent/guardian will receive an automated message from the school that evening informing them of the absence.
Leaving the School Grounds During Class Time
Parent/guardian permission is required and the student must sign out at the main office if they are leaving the school grounds during class time for any reason.

When leaving a message on the school's voice-mail system or texting the schools attendance cell, please include your name, your child(ren)’s first and last names, their grade, and the reason for the absence.
