Student Travel Scholarship
Student Travel Scholarship application process now open

The Student Travel Scholarship is designed to give high school students the opportunity to travel to a developing country to learn first-hand about the importance of education, clean water, alternative income and agricultural projects. Students in Grades 9 to 11 are able to apply for this scholarship of $1,000, to help offset the cost of attending a Me-to-We trip during the summer months. Eligible students must be returning to their high school the fall after their trip and must be willing to bring back and share their learning with their school and other schools within the Board.

Art at Student Showcase
Student work featured in "Showcase"
12/07/2018
The Rainy River High School gymnasium was filled with student created work during the "Student Showcase" on December 6, 2018. Artwork, including drawings, pottery, papier mâché projects, were on display, as well as clothing, hats, bags, and blankets handmade by the students. The foods classes served delicious dishes from around the world, while music students shared their talents. Science experiments and technology demonstrations were also featured.

Please fill out the survey to share your thoughts with us on the proposed school year calendar, including the start and end dates, PD days, etc. Your feedback is then taken to the Regional School Year Calendar Committee comprised of the CSDC des Aurores Boreales, Keewatin-Patricia District School Board, Kenora Catholic District School Board, Northwest Catholic District School Board and Rainy River District School Board. The survey closes November 29, 2019.

School Climate Survey for Parents/Guardians 2019

The survey also assists in making informed decisions and plans to help promote safe and inclusive schools and student health and well-being. The survey is open until Dec 20, 2019.
